Methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE)


MTBE is used as a fuel component in fuel for gasoline engines. It is one of a group of chemicals commonly known as oxygenates because they raise the oxygen content of gasoline.

Dimethylformamide (DMF)


DMF is an organic compound with the chemical formula HCON(CH3)2. Its structure is HC(=O)−N(−CH3)2. Commonly abbreviated as DMF (although this initialism is sometimes used for dimethylfuran, or dimethyl fumarate), this colourless liquid is miscible with water and the majority of organic liquids. DMF is a common solvent for chemical reactions.

Dimethylacetamide (DMAC)


Dimethylacetamide (DMAc or DMA) is the organic compound with the formula CH3C(O)N(CH3)2. This colorless, water-miscible, high-boiling liquid is commonly used as a polar solvent in organic synthesis. DMA is miscible with most other solvents, although it is poorly soluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons.

Tetrahydrofuran (THF)


Mainly used as a solvent, intermediate in chemical synthesis, and analytical reagent. As a laboratory chemical when its miscibility with water doesn't affect theexperiment.

n-Hexane


Hexane is a colorless, volatile organic solvent classified as a straight-chain neutral aliphatic hydrocarbon. It is relatively insoluble in water and can be found as a minor component of gasoline.

Isohexane


2-Methylpentane, trivially known as isohexane, is a branched-chain alkane with the molecular formula C6H14. It is a structural isomer of hexane composed of a methyl group bonded to the second carbon atom in a pentane chain. Using a quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) prediction model, 2-Methylpentane has a research octane number (RON) of 75, motor octane number (MON) of 77, and cetane number (CN) of 29.
